Description
The issue allows an attacker to potentially spoof a trusted entity by using a man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack. This could lead to the software connecting to a malicious host while believing it is a trusted host, or being deceived into accepting spoofed data that appears to originate from a trusted host.
Recommendations
For IBM Security Guardium EcoSystem version 10.5, update the software to a version that correctly validates certificates to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks.
