CVE-2018-15139

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions OpenEMR versions prior to 5.0.1.4
Description The issue allows a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary PHP code by uploading a file with a PHP extension via the images upload form and accessing it in the images directory. This is due to an unrestricted file upload in the interface/super/manage site files.php file.
Recommendations For versions prior to 5.0.1.4, update to version 5.0.1.4 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the images upload form and the images directory to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the images upload form until the issue is resolved.
