Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
IBM WebSphere MQ versions 8.0 through 9.0
Description
The issue is caused by the failure to properly validate the SSL certificate, allowing a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information. An attacker could exploit this to obtain sensitive information using man-in-the-middle techniques.
Recommendations
For IBM WebSphere MQ versions 8.0 through 9.0, ensure proper validation of SSL certificates to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to sensitive information until a proper fix is applied. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
