Description
The issue allows a man-in-the-middle to exploit an XSS vulnerability by inserting Javascript into the configuration files' Version field, which is requested via HTTP.
Recommendations
For ASUSTOR Data Master versions 3.1.5 and below, consider disabling HTTP requests for configuration files until a patch is available. Restrict access to the configuration files to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the Version field in the configuration files until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
