Description
The issue is related to an unchecked NULL pointer usage in the ResolveStateAndPredicate function in xkbcomp/compat.c. This could be exploited by local attackers to crash the xkbcommon parser by supplying a crafted keymap file with a no-op modmask expression.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 0.8.2, update to version 0.8.2 or later to resolve the issue.
