CVSS v2.0

9.3

High

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Android (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is caused by an integer underflow in the csr update fils params rso function of the Qualcomm WLAN component in the Android operating system. This underflow can lead to a buffer overflow. The problem arises from insufficient validation of a key length.
Recommendations For all affected Android versions, consider restricting access to the csr update fils params rso function until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the Qualcomm WLAN component in sensitive operations until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
