Description The issue is caused by a heap buffer overflow in the Qualcomm WLAN driver, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to elevate their privileges. This is due to a type mismatch for ie len, leading to the allocation of less memory on the heap, resulting in a heap buffer overflow. The problem affects all Android releases from CAF using the Linux Kernel.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
