CVE-2018-2953

CVSS v3.1

8.2

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle E-Business Suite (subcomponent: Print Server) versions 12.1.1 through 12.1.3 Oracle E-Business Suite (subcomponent: Print Server) versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.7
Description The issue is related to inadequate access control in the Print Server component of Oracle E-Business Suite, specifically in the One-to-One Fulfillment module. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected data using the HTTP protocol. Successful attacks may require human interaction and can significantly impact additional products, potentially resulting in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all accessible data, as well as unauthorized updates, inserts, or deletes to some accessible data.
Recommendations For versions 12.1.1 through 12.1.3, update to a version that includes the necessary security patches to address the inadequate access control issue. For versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.7, apply the recommended security fixes to mitigate the vulnerability. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Print Server component until a patch is available. Restrict access to sensitive data and implement additional monitoring to detect potential unauthorized access via the HTTP protocol.
