CVE-2018-17625

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Foxit Reader version 9.1.0.5096
Description This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations. User interaction is required, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the handling of the setInterval() method due to the lack of validating the existence of an object prior to performing operations on it. This allows an attacker to execute code in the context of the current process.
Recommendations For Foxit Reader version 9.1.0.5096, consider disabling the setInterval() method as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to potentially malicious files and web pages to minimize the risk of exploitation.
