Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Foxit Reader version 9.2.0.9297
Description
This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations. User interaction is required, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the handling of the
display property of CheckBox objects due to the lack of validating the existence of an object prior to performing operations on it. An attacker can leverage this to execute code in the context of the current process.Recommendations
For Foxit Reader version 9.2.0.9297, update to a version that addresses this issue, as the current version allows for remote code execution due to the handling of
CheckBox objects. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.RCE
