Description
The issue allows a local db2 instance owner to obtain root access by exploiting a symbolic link attack. This attack enables the owner to read, write, or corrupt a file that they originally did not have permission to access.
Recommendations
For versions 9.7, 10.1, 10.5, and 11.1, consider restricting file system permissions to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
