Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle SuperCluster Specific Software versions prior to 2.5.0
Description
The issue is related to inadequate access control in the SuperCluster Virtual Assistant component, allowing an unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise the software. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and can result in unauthorized access to critical data, complete access to all accessible data, as well as unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some accessible data. Additionally, attacks can cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash of the software.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 2.5.0, update to version 2.5.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the SuperCluster Virtual Assistant component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
