CVE-2018-18485

CVSS v3.1

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions PHPSHE version 1.7
Description An issue was discovered that allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary files via directory traversal sequences in the dbname parameter in the "admin.php?mod=db&act=del" API endpoint. This can be leveraged to reload the product by deleting install.lock.
Recommendations For PHPSHE version 1.7, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "admin.php?mod=db&act=del" API endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the dbname parameter in this endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
