CVE-2018-18638

CVSS v2.0

9.3

High

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Neato Botvac Connected version 2.2.0
Description A command injection issue exists in the setup API, allowing network attackers to execute arbitrary commands. This is achieved by using shell metacharacters in the ntp field within JSON data sent to the "/robot/initialize" endpoint.
Recommendations For version 2.2.0, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "/robot/initialize" endpoint until a patch is available. Avoid using the ntp field in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
