Description
A remote code execution issue exists due to improper input validation from an authenticated user on a guest operating system. This allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the host server. The vulnerability is related to insufficient input validation in the Microsoft Hyper-V hardware virtualization system for Windows operating systems.
Recommendations
For Windows Server 2012 R2, consider applying security updates to address the issue.
For Windows RT 8.1, apply the latest security patches.
For Windows Server 2016, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and Windows 10 Servers, update to the latest version that includes the security fix.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
