| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle JDeveloper versions 11.1.1.2.4, 11.1.1.7.0, 11.1.1.7.1, 11.1.1.9.0, 12.1.3.0.0
Description
The issue affects the Security Framework subcomponent of Oracle JDeveloper, allowing an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle JDeveloper. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and may significantly impact additional products. This can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle JDeveloper accessible data, as well as unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of Oracle JDeveloper accessible data.
Recommendations
For versions 11.1.1.2.4, 11.1.1.7.0, 11.1.1.7.1, 11.1.1.9.0, and 12.1.3.0.0, consider restricting access to the Security Framework subcomponent until a patch is available.
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling any features that rely on HTTP access to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Restrict access to sensitive data and implement additional monitoring to detect potential unauthorized access or modifications.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
