Description
The issue is related to an integer overflow in the
AMediaCodecCryptoInfo new function of NdkMediaCodec.cpp, which could lead to an out-of-bounds write. This might allow remote code execution in external apps without needing additional execution privileges. User interaction is required for exploitation. The vulnerability could be exploited by a remote attacker using a specially crafted file.Recommendations
For Android versions 7.0 through 9.0, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
