Description
The issue is related to a possible SQL injection in the content provider of the download manager due to improper input validation. This could lead to local information disclosure with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not required for exploitation. The vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to disclose protected information.
Recommendations
For Android versions 7.0 through 9.0, consider restricting access to the download manager's content provider to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the download manager until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
