CVE-2018-9506

CVSS v2.0

7.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Android versions 7.0 through 9.0
Description The issue is related to a possible out-of-bound read in the avrc msg cback function of avrc api.cc. This could lead to remote information disclosure over Bluetooth with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not required for exploitation.
Recommendations For Android versions 7.0 through 9.0, consider restricting Bluetooth connectivity until a patch is available to prevent potential information disclosure. As a temporary workaround, disabling Bluetooth functionality when not in use may help minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
