| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Samsung SmartThings Hub STH-ETH-250 version 0.20.17
Description
A JSON injection issue exists in the credentials handler of the video-core's HTTP server, allowing an attacker to send HTTP requests that trigger this issue. The video-core process incorrectly parses user-controlled JSON payload, leading to a JSON injection and subsequently a SQL injection in the video-core database.
Recommendations
For version 0.20.17, consider restricting access to the credentials handler of the video-core's HTTP server until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using user-controlled JSON payloads in the affected HTTP endpoint.
