Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Malwarebytes Premium version 3.3.1.2183
Description
The issue allows local users to cause a denial of service (BSOD) or possibly have unspecified other impact because of not validating input values from IOCtl
0x9C40E020 in the driver file FARFLT.SYS. The vendor reported that they have not been able to reproduce the issue on any Windows operating system version (32-bit or 64-bit).Recommendations
For Malwarebytes Premium version 3.3.1.2183, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
FARFLT.SYS driver file until a patch is available. Avoid using the IOCtl 0x9C40E020 to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
