Description:
The issue arises from the function
wma tbttoffset update event handler(), where a parameter received from firmware is used to allocate memory for a local buffer without proper validation. This can potentially result in an integer overflow, subsequently leading to a heap overwrite.Recommendations:
For Qualcomm Android for MSM versions prior to security patch level 2018-04-05, update to a version that includes the security patch level 2018-04-05 or later.
For Firefox OS for MSM versions prior to security patch level 2018-04-05, update to a version that includes the security patch level 2018-04-05 or later.
