Description:
The issue is related to out-of-bounds read vulnerabilities in the LQS file parsing functionality of LAquis SCADA, which may allow remote code execution. This is due to a buffer overflow in memory. The vulnerability can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations:
For LAquis SCADA versions 4.1.0.3870 and prior, consider disabling the LQS file parsing functionality until a patch is available to prevent potential remote code execution. Restrict access to the vulnerable component to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
