| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Jenkins versions prior to 2.107
Jenkins LTS versions prior to 2.89.4
Description
The issue allows users with Overall/Read permission to download files from the Jenkins master that they should not have access to, by not properly preventing the specification of relative paths that escape a base directory for URLs accessing plugin resource files. On Windows, this means any file accessible to the Jenkins master process could be downloaded, while on other operating systems, any file within the Jenkins home directory accessible to the Jenkins master process could be downloaded.
Recommendations
For Jenkins versions prior to 2.107, update to version 2.107 or later.
For Jenkins LTS versions prior to 2.89.4, update to version 2.89.4 or later.
