Description A Directory Traversal issue allows administrators to bypass file extensions by utilizing Windows alternate data streams. This is possible due to improper validation of the path when exporting a specific XML file.
Recommendations For McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) versions 5.3.0 through 5.3.2, update to a version that properly validates file paths to prevent directory traversal. For McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) version 5.9.0, update to a version that properly validates file paths to prevent directory traversal. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
