CVE-2018-6827

CVSS v3.1

8.1

High

VectorAV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions VOBOT CLOCK versions prior to 0.99.30
Description The issue allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof servers and obtain sensitive information, and consequently execute arbitrary code, via a crafted certificate. This is possible because devices do not verify X.509 certificates from SSL servers.
Recommendations For versions prior to 0.99.30, update to version 0.99.30 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the use of SSL servers until a patch is available. Restrict access to sensitive information to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the --no-check-certificate option in Wget until the issue is resolved.
