Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Omron CX-Supervisor versions 3.30 and prior
Description
The issue is related to the access of uninitialized pointer vulnerabilities in Omron CX-Supervisor. This can be exploited when CX Supervisor indirectly calls an initialized pointer while parsing malformed packets, potentially leading to remote code execution.
Recommendations
For Omron CX-Supervisor versions 3.30 and prior, consider restricting access to the SCS file parsing functionality until a patch is available.
As a temporary workaround, avoid using the SCS file parsing feature in Omron CX-Supervisor until the issue is resolved.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
