CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Cisco Web Security Appliance (affected versions not specified)
Description: The issue is related to insufficient protection of the web page structure in the web interface of Cisco Web Security Appliance, which could allow a remote attacker to inject arbitrary code into a loaded web page using a specially crafted link through the Document Object Model (DOM). This vulnerability may enable an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct a reflected or DOM-based cross-site scripting (XSS) attack against a user of the web-based management interface. The attacker could exploit this by persuading a user to click a crafted link, potentially allowing the execution of arbitrary script code in the context of the interface or access to sensitive browser-based information.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
