| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
IBM WebSphere Application Server versions 7.0 through 9.0
Description
The issue is related to the recovery of an untrusted data structure in memory, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary Java code through the SOAP connector using a serialized object from untrusted sources.
Recommendations
For versions 7.0 through 9.0, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue to prevent exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the SOAP connector to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using serialized objects from untrusted sources in the SOAP connector until the issue is resolved.
Fix
