| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Iomega, Lenovo, LenovoEMC NAS devices versions 4.1.402.34662 and earlier
Description
The issue allows an attacker to execute arbitrary commands as the root user by crafting a command injection payload using backtick characters in the
name parameter when changing the name of a share. The attack requires specific values for the c and iomega parameters.Recommendations
For versions 4.1.402.34662 and earlier, consider restricting access to the share name change functionality until a fix is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using backtick characters in the
name parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.Fix
