Description The issue allows an attacker to execute arbitrary commands as the root user by crafting a command injection payload using backtick characters in the share : name parameter when changing the name of a share. The attack requires a value c and iomega parameter.
Recommendations For versions 4.1.402.34662 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the share name modification feature until a patch is available. Avoid using backtick characters in the share : name parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.
