CVE-2019-2426

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Java SE versions 7u201, 8u192, and 11.0.1 Java SE Embedded version 8u191
Description The issue allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise Java SE, resulting in unauthorized read access to a subset of Java SE accessible data. This issue applies to Java deployments that load and run untrusted code and rely on the Java sandbox for security. It can also be exploited through a web service that supplies data to the APIs.
Recommendations For Java SE versions 7u201, 8u192, and 11.0.1, consider disabling the use of APIs in the Networking component until a patch is available. For Java SE Embedded version 8u191, restrict access to the Networking component to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the loading and running of untrusted code in sandboxed Java Web Start applications or sandboxed Java applets until a patch is available.
