CVE-2018-1604

CVSS v3.1

5.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions IBM Rational Quality Manager versions 5.0 through 5.02 IBM Rational Quality Manager versions 6.0 through 6.0.6
Description The issue allows users to embed arbitrary JavaScript code in the Web UI, altering the intended functionality and potentially leading to credentials disclosure within a trusted session. This is due to a lack of protection for the web page structure, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to disclose credentials by injecting JavaScript code into a user-loaded web page.
Recommendations For versions 5.0 through 5.02, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk. For versions 6.0 through 6.0.6, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Web UI to minimize the risk of exploitation.
