CVSS v2.0

7.6

High

VectorAV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Internet Explorer 9 Internet Explorer 10 Internet Explorer 11
Description A remote code execution issue exists due to the way the scripting engine handles objects in memory. This could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user by exploiting the vulnerability with a specially crafted web page. If the current user has administrative rights, an attacker could take control of the affected system, install programs, view, change, or delete data, or create new accounts with full user rights.
Recommendations For Internet Explorer 9, update to a newer version to mitigate the risk. For Internet Explorer 10, update to a newer version to mitigate the risk. For Internet Explorer 11, update to a newer version to mitigate the risk. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to potentially vulnerable JScript functions until a patch is available.
