Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
D-Link Central WiFi Manager versions prior to 1.03r0100-Beta1
Description
The issue exists due to the lack of protection for the web page structure in the UpdateSite function of the D-Link Central WiFi Manager. This allows a remote attacker to inject arbitrary code into the loaded web page. The
sitename parameter of the "UpdateSite" endpoint is vulnerable to stored XSS.Recommendations
For versions prior to 1.03r0100-Beta1, update to version 1.03r0100-Beta1 or later to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the UpdateSite endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Avoid using the
sitename parameter in the UpdateSite endpoint until the issue is resolved.Exploit
