Description An information disclosure issue exists due to the improper handling of fragmented IP packets by the Windows TCP/IP stack. This can be exploited by a remote attacker using specially crafted fragmented IP packets to disclose protected information.
Recommendations For Windows Server 2012 R2, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. For Windows RT 8.1, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. For Windows Server 2016, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. For Windows 8.1, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. For Windows 10, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. For Windows 10 Servers, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Windows TCP/IP stack to minimize the risk of exploitation.
