| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle GlassFish Server version 3.1.2
Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Java Server Faces component of Oracle GlassFish Server, allowing an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise the server. Successful attacks require human interaction and can result in unauthorized access to critical data, modification or deletion of data, as well as partial denial of service.
Recommendations
For Oracle GlassFish Server version 3.1.2, consider restricting access to the Java Server Faces component until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the ability of remote attackers to interact with the server via HTTP to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
