Description
The issue is related to a vulnerability in the Oracle Application Object Library component, specifically in the Attachments / File Upload subcomponent. This vulnerability can be exploited by an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP, allowing them to compromise the Oracle Application Object Library. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and may significantly impact additional products. The vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data, complete access to all Oracle Application Object Library accessible data, as well as unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of the Oracle Application Object Library accessible data.
Recommendations
For versions 12.1.3, 12.2.3, 12.2.4, 12.2.5, 12.2.6, 12.2.7, consider restricting access to the Attachments / File Upload subcomponent until a fix is available.
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the file upload functionality in the Oracle Application Object Library component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
