CVE-2018-3146

CVSS v3.1

8.2

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle iLearning versions 6.1 through 6.2
Description The issue is related to inadequate access control in the Learner Administration component of Oracle iLearning, allowing an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise the system. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and may significantly impact additional products. This can result in unauthorized access to critical data, complete access to all Oracle iLearning accessible data, as well as unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of Oracle iLearning accessible data.
Recommendations For versions 6.1 and 6.2, consider restricting access to the Learner Administration component until a fix is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol for sensitive operations in Oracle iLearning. Restrict access to critical data and ensure that only authorized personnel can update, insert, or delete data in Oracle iLearning. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
