Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle Outside In Technology versions 8.5.3 through 8.5.4
Description
The issue is related to inadequate access control in the Oracle Outside In Technology component, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to data via the HTTP protocol. Successful attacks may require human interaction and can result in unauthorized access to critical data, as well as update, insert, or delete access to some data.
Recommendations
For versions 8.5.3 and 8.5.4, consider restricting access to the Outside In Technology component until a patch is available.
As a temporary workaround, avoid using the HTTP protocol to pass data directly to the Outside In Technology code.
Restrict network access to the Oracle Outside In Technology component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
