Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle Outside In Technology versions 8.5.3 through 8.5.4
Description
The issue is related to inadequate access control in the Oracle Outside In Technology component, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to data or cause a denial of service using the HTTP protocol. Successful attacks require human interaction and can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all accessible data, as well as the ability to cause a partial denial of service.
Recommendations
For versions 8.5.3 and 8.5.4, consider restricting access to the Outside In Technology component to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available.
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the use of the HTTP protocol for data transfer to reduce the attack surface.
Restrict network access to the Oracle Outside In Technology component to prevent unauthorized access.
Fix
