Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle WebCenter Sites version 11.1.1.8.0
Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Advanced UI component of Oracle WebCenter Sites, allowing a high-privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise the system. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and may significantly impact additional products. This can result in unauthorized access to critical data, complete access to all Oracle WebCenter Sites accessible data, as well as unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of Oracle WebCenter Sites accessible data.
Recommendations
For Oracle WebCenter Sites version 11.1.1.8.0, consider restricting access to the Advanced UI component until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol for sensitive operations to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
