Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle Hyperion Essbase Administration Services version 11.1.2.4
Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the EAS Console component of Oracle Hyperion Essbase Administration Services. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to data using the HTTP protocol. Successful attacks may require human interaction and can significantly impact additional products, resulting in unauthorized access to update, insert, or delete data, as well as read access to a subset of accessible data.
Recommendations
For version 11.1.2.4, consider restricting access to the EAS Console component to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol for remote access to the Hyperion Essbase Administration Services.
Fix
Improper Access Control
