Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools versions 8.55 through 8.57
Description The issue is related to inadequate access control in the Fluid Core component of Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected data using the HTTP protocol. Successful attacks may require human interaction and can significantly impact additional products, resulting in unauthorized access to some data, including update, insert, or delete access, as well as read access to a subset of the data.
Recommendations For versions 8.55 through 8.57, consider restricting access to the Fluid Core component until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol for remote access to PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools to minimize the risk of exploitation. Restrict access to sensitive data within PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools to prevent unauthorized updates, inserts, or deletes.
