Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle PeopleSoft Products version 8.55 Oracle PeopleSoft Products version 8.56
Description The issue is related to inadequate access control in the PIA Core Technology component of Oracle PeopleSoft Products. It allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools, potentially leading to unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of data. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker.
Recommendations For version 8.55, update to a version that includes the necessary security patches to address the inadequate access control issue. For version 8.56, apply the recommended configuration changes or patches to mitigate the risk associated with the PIA Core Technology component.
