Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle Endeca Information Discovery Integrator versions 3.1.0 through 3.2.0
Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Oracle Endeca Information Discovery Integrator component, allowing a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected data using the HTTP protocol. The attacker can compromise the Integrator, resulting in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of the data. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker.
Recommendations
For versions 3.1.0 and 3.2.0, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue to prevent unauthorized access.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Integrator ETL component until a patch is available.
Avoid using the HTTP protocol to access the Oracle Endeca Information Discovery Integrator until the issue is resolved.
Fix
