Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle Outside In Technology versions 8.5.3 through 8.5.4
Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Outside In Technology component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, specifically in the Outside In Filters subcomponent. This allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Outside In Technology, resulting in a partial denial of service (partial DOS). The Outside In Technology is a suite of software development kits (SDKs), and the impact depends on how the software using the Outside In Technology code handles network data.
Recommendations
For versions 8.5.3 and 8.5.4, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue to prevent unauthorized partial denial of service attacks.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
