Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle Outside In Technology versions 8.5.3 through 8.5.4
Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Outside In Filters component of the Oracle Outside In Technology software development kit (SDK). This can be exploited by a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected data using the HTTP protocol. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle Outside In Technology accessible data.
Recommendations
For versions 8.5.3 and 8.5.4, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue to prevent unauthorized access.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Outside In Filters component until a patch is available.
Avoid using the HTTP protocol to pass data directly to the Outside In Technology code until the issue is resolved.
Fix
