CVE-2019-5766

CVSS v3.1

6.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 72.0.3626.81
Description The issue is related to incorrect handling of origin taint checking in Canvas, allowing a remote attacker to leak cross-origin data via a crafted HTML page. This is due to errors in origin taint checking, which enables an attacker to access unauthorized information. The vulnerability can be exploited by a remote attacker using a specially crafted HTML page to obtain data from other domains.
Recommendations For versions prior to 72.0.3626.81, update to version 72.0.3626.81 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to Canvas functionality until the update is applied.
