Description
The issue is related to a buffer boundary problem in the IxVeriWave file parser, which could cause a crash. It is associated with a reading beyond the boundary condition. Exploitation of this issue may allow a remote attacker to crash the application.
Recommendations
For Wireshark versions 2.4.0 through 2.4.10, update to a version where the wiretap/vwr.c has been adjusted to fix the buffer boundary issue.
For Wireshark versions 2.6.0 through 2.6.4, update to a version where the wiretap/vwr.c has been adjusted to fix the buffer boundary issue.
